What the extension stores

Your browser keeps your settings (dhikr frequency, the city you chose and its coordinates, colors and fonts), your statistics (dhikr, tasbih and hadith counts, and streak days), and any dhikr you add yourself. The background you pick for the new tab page stays on your device and is never uploaded.

The extension uses the browser's own storage (chrome.storage). Some settings may sync across your devices if browser sync is turned on, and that sync is handled by the browser, not by us.

External services the extension connects to

The extension connects only to the services below, each for a single purpose. Every service sees your IP address, as with any website you visit.

What we do not do

• We do not read the content of the pages you visit or what you type in them.
• We do not record your browsing history or the sites you visit.
• We do not detect your location automatically. You choose your city.
• We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for marketing or advertising.
• We show no ads, and we use no tracking or analytics tools to monitor your usage.
• We do not run any code downloaded from the internet.

Permissions and why we ask for them

• Storage: save your settings and statistics.
• Alarms: schedule dhikr, prayer alerts, and the adhan.
• Scripting and ActiveTab: show dhikr and prayer alerts on the page you are browsing.
• Idle: pause dhikr when you are away, so your counter does not count what you did not read.
• Offscreen: play the adhan and recitation audio in the background.
• Access to all sites: show dhikr cards and alerts on any site you visit and connect to the services listed above. The extension does not read the content of those sites.
• New tab page override: show the Adkari page, which you can turn off at any time from the extension icon.

Your control over your data

You can change your city and settings, or reset them, at any time from the settings page. Uninstalling the extension removes its local data from your device, while synced data is managed through your browser account.

On install, the extension opens an internal thank-you page, and on uninstall it opens a feedback page. No data is sent in either case.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the last updated date at the top.

Contact form on our website

The contact page on our website (not part of the extension) sends the name, email, and message you type through Formspree so we can reply to you. This happens only when you press the send button.
